Superman!

7 month update on Ella!

Ella is over seven months now and I'm constantly amazed by how much she is changing and growing up. For one she is able to get all over the place now with her crawl/sit up system. She has figured out that if she crawls a bit and then rolls to a sit up position she can change directions and maneuver herself all across the basement floor. I never noticed how many yoga moves come from baby positions. It really is weird, sometimes I feel like she could lead a yoga class with all of her little posses (honeslty -downward dog is a regular).

What else . . . she is starting to pull herself up and stand. Khyndra said she did this on the bathtub the other day. She is also using her fingers to pick up small items (and put them in her mouth) such as her puffs.

My favorite thing that she is does is when she makes a kiss noise with her mouth at us. Oh and I can't leave out her generous nature. In the morning she feels particularly generous and offers her pacifier to her parents by trying to get us to put it in our mouths.

Ella's first Valentines!

Notice the special V-day hearts on her tights!

Valentine's 09

Jon surprised me with a fabulous valentines day trip this year. The day started with beautiful flowers and breakfast at Southern Kitchen. From their, we headed up to Bainebridge Island where Jon had made reservations for us at Blodel Reserve, which is absolutely beautiful.
Here are some of the pictures we took while walking the grounds. It's about a 2 mile walk that includes several ponds and gardens.
The whole experience was really amazing but my personal favorite was the moss garden. Apparently it is is the larges of its kind in all of North America. It felt like an enchanted forest.
So, after our stroll around the grounds we went and had a picnic, complete with champagne, strawberries, chocolates, and cheeses. So all and all it was a fabulous day!
