Introducing Elin Hadley Horwath

As most of you know I was due with Elin on the 16th of October but, like, Ella her due date came and went. Luckily I was able to convince my doctor to do a scheduled induction on October 20th. So on October 18 Jon and I really started getting ready for the hospital - packed the bag, did some chores around that house that needed to be done, and started to get mentally prepared for bringing home a baby.

As it turned out, it was good that we got everything ready because on at around 6:00 a.m. on the 19th, my water broke, while I was still in bed. It was the weirdest sensation I have ever expierenced. For some reason, I remained pretty calm. I woke up Jon and told him my water just broke and he was pretty funny, he jumped out of bed and said, "what do we do?"

I took a shower and we headed to the hospital. By the time we were there, I was in hard labor and somewhat annoyed at how slow the nurses seemed to be moving. Fortunatly, I didn't have to wait long because Elin was born a few short hours later at 9:03 a.m. (an the epidural came just in time :)!
Ella was instantly in love with her baby sister! She was so sweet and wanted to give soft hugs and kisses!

Pumkin Patch 2010

I really have to say that this year the pumpkin patch was so much more fun than the Puyallup Fair. We headed out to Remlinger Farm for the first time and had a fun-filled day!
There was a toddler hay maze, complete with a bouncy hay area at the end!

This is us on the steam train ride.

Ella even got to ride her very first pony!

And while we made it to the actual pumpkin patch in the end, we didn't actually end up buying any pumkins. :( At that point we were all a little tired (especially me) and it just gave us an excuse to come back next weekend!

Sprinkle for Elin

I was so for fortunate to two of my pregger friends throw me a sprinkle for Elin. If your not familiar with the term, a sprinkle is a smaller scale shower. It was held at Carly's house and Mickey did the food (of course). The decorations turned out beautiful and the food was excellent.

Ella's actual birthday

Ella's Birthday
Ella's actual birthday happen to land on the same day as the Mariner's were in town so we decided to take her to a baseball game. Amazingly she did really well and had a great time.

Before going to the game we stopped by a park so she could get a little playtime in.

Happy Second Birthday Ella!

Birthday
July 19th tends to be pretty warm in Washington so it is starting to become a tradition to have Ella's birthday party at the lake. The day started with some lake time. Here is Ella showing off her "purple" party outfit. If I haven't said before, purple is by far Ella's favorite color!
Present time! For such a small party, Ella made out pretty well. Cousin Teagan was a great help in getting those presents open!
Between each present, Ella took the time to try them out! Needless to say, we ended up having to throw out some of the food that was cooking on the bbq!
Off comes the skirt. It was getting in the way of opening all of her presents!
Showing off their new matching dresses.
Bubble mower turned out to be a hit!

Birthday cake time!

Ella giving some loves to Madden!
The day ended with a little dancing, a little hug tackling and a some jumping on the bed!
